To look at ‘Architecture’ the children were asked to design a Wild Life Visitors’ Centre. They were given a brief so they could work to the client’s needs, and to think about Functionality.
They were asked to sketch their thoughts on very rough paper before fine-tuning a chosen design. This enabled them to produce a body of work and show development etc. They looked at different viewpoints, including overhead plans of space.
The final drawing was drawn and then coloured gently with pencils to give an architect’s drawing.
They thought carefully about design and needs, especially the toilets!!! Many original thoughts came up.
